Features

SimpleEdit is currently one of the most powerful PHP-Editors, while being the youngest among them.

Some of its features are:

• Code-Templates
• VFS-Support (thus working on a FTP-Server is really easy)
• Command-Mode (type "control alt H", select some text and press "p"; quit with "q")
• PHP-Refactorings
• Auto-Completion for PHP and CSS
• Unique Shortcut completion: type "b-c" to get "border-color"
• Powerful Search-Bar (like Firefox)
• Code-Inspection: type "// @todo Some Text"
• SidePanel - click on markers (might be set by inspections) to get the easiest and fastest navigation you ever saw
• Integrated PHP- and HTML-Help (only german at this moment))
• Syntax-Highlighting for more than 18 languages

SimpleEdit is currently developed only by Patrick Gotthardt. We really need some more contributors. There will be some kind of API-documentation soon, so if you'd like to support the SimpleEdit development: Let me know and I'll give you some work.

SimpleEdit is offering a Plugin-Interface, making it quite easy to add special functionality into it. There will be documentation about this at some point, but we've had no time yet to write it.
